Whether the component is sent to us or the vehicle comes in, the refurbishment process for sticky buttons remains the same.
Once the components arrive at our workshop, each item is carefully photographed and catalogued. We then begin the dismantling process, stripping all components down to their individual plastic parts for thorough cleaning.
Rather than simply cleaning the surfaces, we completely remove all existing coatings, paint, and markings, taking each part back to bare plastic.
All parts are then repainted. Once the paint has fully cured, any components requiring symbols or markings are laser etched. This process involves a pre-programmed design being etched onto the surface by precisely burning away the top layer of paint, revealing the (typically white) plastic beneath.
After laser etching, all parts receive a soft-touch top coat, which typically takes up to 48 hours to fully cure.
Once curing is complete, the components are reassembled. Following assembly, all parts undergo a second round of photography.
Finally, everything is carefully packaged and either returned to the client or reinstalled into the vehicle.
